During the meeting, the official event title was confirmed and the event’s approach was agreed to be communicated publicly through the tagline: “Bridging land tenure, value and education for security, sovereignty, and sustainability.”
In this context, while the official name of the event was confirmed as “Joint FIG & UNECE WPLA International Conference, Istanbul Türkiye, 2026,” the tagline highlights a holistic approach that brings together land tenure, value, and professional education/capacity development to contribute to the objectives of security, sovereignty, and sustainability.
The Committee also reviewed the overall content framework and programme approach, with discussions focusing on the main thematic structure. The framework for keynote planning and the invitation process was clarified, and the positioning of Commission meetings within the programme was also addressed. In addition, the meeting covered how the 100th anniversary emphasis will be integrated visibly within the social programme, the progress on website content development and the registration payment infrastructure, as well as ongoing work related to sponsorship and visibility planning.
