Conference Themes

Land registry and cadastre systems are rapidly transforming, not only as the safeguard of property rights, but also through digitalization, data ethics, and emerging artificial intelligence applications. The Conference aims to discuss both current challenges and the transition towards future smart systems within a broad framework spanning legal security, electronic registers, real property valuation, cadastre integration, and artificial intelligence-enabled land administration. While fostering a shared understanding around legislation, technical standards, cybersecurity, transparency, and accountability, the Conference will also place a strong focus on principles such as professional ethics, public interest, impartiality, and conflict of interest management in professional practice. In addition, in line with the competencies required by rapidly evolving systems, the Conference seeks to develop practice-oriented recommendations by addressing continuous professional development, certification, in-service training, and interdisciplinary capacity development approaches.

Professional Education and Professional Ethics

However, our objective is not limited to technical exchange. We also wish to share, together with our participants, the unique atmosphere of Istanbul, one of the world’s most exceptional cities, where two continents meet and which is enriched by thousands of years of history and cultural heritage. Through the welcome reception, gala dinner, and social events, we aim to experience this journey together at some of Istanbul’s most distinguished venues.

We look forward to welcoming you in Istanbul on 28–30 October 2026.
